Assemble the Spinner: Gently press the plastic spinner arrow into the center hole of the gameboard’s Dwarf spinner. See Figure 1 for its location.

Assemble the Pawns

Remove the 7 Dwarf pawns from the cardboard sheet. Fit each pawn into a plastic stand.

Assemble the Mountain Background

Snow White Fig 6

Game Setup

1. Place all 7 Dwarf pawns on or near the START space.

NOTE: Players do not own Dwarf pawns. During the game, players take turns moving different Dwarfs along the path.

2. Lift the Snow White/Witch sliding piece (behind the Mountain background) until its slot lines up with the slot in the mountain. Then push the Stone slab through the 2 slots to lock the sliding piece into place. You’ll see Snow White holding the poison apple in the clearing. See Figure 7. Make sure the bottom of the sliding piece rests inside the box bottom.

3. Draw Your Tokens. There are 9 tokens in the game: 7 Dwarf tokens and 2 Animal Friends tokens. For a 3-player game, use all 9 tokens. For a 2-player game or 4-player game, place 1 Animal Friends token out of play.

Turn the tokens facedown and mix them up. Without looking at them, each player draws the following number of tokens:
• In a 2-player game, each player draws 4 tokens.
• In a 3-player game, each player draws 3 tokens.
• In a 4-player game, each player draws 2 tokens.

Secretly look at the tokens you’ve chosen. Then place them facedown in front of you. All players do the same.

How to Play

The smallest player goes first (in honor of the Seven Dwarfs). Play continues clockwise.

Your Goal: During the game, you and your opponents will take turns moving different Dwarfs along the path toward the mountain. To win, you must own the Dwarf token that matches the first Dwarf to reach the mountain top! The tokens will change hands often, so use strategy to get and keep the token that matches the lead Dwarf!

On Your Turn

Spin the Dwarf spinner. If the arrow points to a line, spin again. Then move one Dwarf according to your spin.
• If the arrow points to one of the 3 colors below a Dwarf’s face, move that Dwarf to the next unoccupied path space of that color. See Figure 8A.

Snow White Fig 8A

• If the arrow points to one of the 3 colors below the large Dwarf hat, move any Dwarf to the next unoccupied path space of that color. See Figure 8B.

Snow White Fig 8B

This ends your turn, unless you land on a Special space! See Special Spaces, below.

Movement Rules: Always move forward along the path toward the mountain, unless otherwise directed by a Special space. Where the path forks, you may choose either of the 2 paths. Dwarfs cannot share spaces.

Special Spaces

There are 3 kinds of Special spaces on the path. When you land on a Special space, follow the directions below. Your turn is then over.

Magic Mirror Spaces. Dial the Magic Mirror once clockwise, by moving the crown to the right until the next picture appears. See Figure 9.

Snow White Fig 9

See which face appears in the window, then do the following

Snow White Spirit
• If you dialed the Spirit in the Mirror, turn one token of your choice faceup and show all of the other players. After showing your token, turn it facedown again. Hint Players will be looking for the token that matches the lead Dwarf on the path. If you have that token, don’t reveal it!
Snow White Evil Queen
• If you dialed the evil Queen, do nothing — you don’t have to reveal a token!

Poison Apple Spaces. You must switch one of your tokens with another player’s token. Here’s how:

1. Choose the player you’d like to switch tokens with. Keeping your tokens facedown, shuffle them around. Your opponent does the same.

2. Now choose one of your opponent’s tokens at random, while he or she chooses one of your tokens at random. Secretly take a look at the token you chose, then place it facedown in front of you. Your opponent does the same.

Dwarf Spaces. Dial either the Dwarf Cottage wheel or the Diamond Mine wheel—whichever is closer to the Dwarf you moved.

Dial the wheel once clockwise, by moving the leaf or diamond to the right until the next picture shows in the window. (Figure 9 shows how to dial a wheel.) See which Dwarf appears in the window. Then move that Dwarf forward or backward to the next unoccupied Poison Apple space on the path.

Hint: Check your tokens before moving a Dwarf! If you have the matching token, move the Dwarf forward; if you don’t have the matching token, move the Dwarf backward! See Figure 10, on the next page, for an example.

IMPORTANT: When you land on Poison Apple space after dialing a Dwarf, do not follow the directions for Poison Apple spaces. Your turn is over.

Snow White Fig 10

Ending the Game

Each Rock step on the mountain counts as one space. Move Dwarfs up the steps just as you would on the path.

The Top Step: The very top Rock step is a 3-color space. You can move a Dwarf there no matter what color you spin! Once a Dwarf moves onto the top Rock step, the game ends!

How to Win

After the game ends, all players turn their tokens faceup. The player who owns the token that matches the Dwarf at the top wins the game!

Snow White Fig 11

If you are the winner, pull the Stone slab out of the top of the mountain, as shown in Figure 11. The Prince appears in the clearing, kisses Snow White awake...and they live happily ever after!
