and a fast breath-taking finish in-the-round

Kohner 1974

CONTENTS:

Plastic playing board with Pop-O-Matic and playing pieces permanently attached.

OBJECT OF THE GAME:

To be the first player to move all four of his men from Start position around Side Track and back to Finish Position.

BEFORE THE GAME STARTS:

(1) Each player selects a 4-man team of playing pieces of one color and moves his team into the 4 position start area matching the same color.

(2) Each player presses the Pop-O-Matic and the player with the highest number starts. Other players follow, in turn, clockwise.

GAME PLAY:

First player presses the Pop-O-Matic and moves any one of his four men from Start into an open slot on the moveable track. The player then rotates the moveable track clockwise for the exact number of spaces as shown on the Pop-O-Matic die. The moveable track will make a clicking sound for each space moved.

Each player, in turn, pops Pop-O-Matic and has a choice of moving a new man onto the moveable track, moving a man already on the track or moving a man from the inner ring, (Finish position ring). He may move any one man he chooses. Whenever a player, in his turn, moves a man opposite his Finish position by exact count of the die, he may conclude his move by pushing his man into his Finish position. Otherwise the player must continue moving around the moveable track until he is able to move opposite his Finish position by exact count of the die.

TO SIDE TRACK:

A player, in his turn, can move his man into a slot of the moveable track already occupied by one of his opponents, thus bumping his opponent into an empty slot on the inner ring. The opponent has then been “Side Tracked” and has to wait for his next turn to re-enter the moveable track.

THE WINNER:

The first player to move all four of his men into his Finish position is the winner and concludes the game of Side Track.
