b) Open the game board on the side corresponding to the language in which the game is to be played.
c) Determine to which age group each player will be identified during the game.
• 7 - 9 years old level players will draw the words which are in large print on the game board.
• 10 years and up level players will draw the words which are in small print on the game board.
d) The game is designed to be played by a minimum of 3 players and a maximum of 4. Therefore, if necessary, it has to be decided from the outset which players will play individually and which ones will form a team; each team must necessarily be formed of 2 members of the same age group.
e) Each opponent (individual player and/or team)’ takes a drawing pad, a pencil and all the tokens of the same color; after having been shuffled, the 64 indicator cards and the 16 difficulty” cards are set, face down, in two piles near the game board.
• The indicator cards refer to the 64 squares of the game board.
• The “difficulty” cards indicate the level of difficulty in drawing the words printed on the game board ; thus, a word of difficulty level 1 is easier to draw than a word of difficulty level 2, a word of difficulty level 2 is easier to draw than a word of difficulty level 3, etc. There are 4 cards for each level of difficulty.
Example:
Indicator card - A7 “Difficulty” card - level 2
• If you belong to the 7 - 9 years old age level, the word to be drawn is DRESS.
• If you belong to the 10 years and up level, the word to be drawn is THEATER.
b) Each opponent draws his/her word on a sheet of his/her drawing pad.
• Members of a same team use only one sheet and do only one drawing.
• Numbers and letters cannot be used in a drawing.
c) When all drawings are completed, each opponent shows his/her drawing to the others, long enough for them to try to figure out the word drawn.
d) Each opponent then takes back the sheet on which he/she has drawn his/her word and, in the space provided, writes the word or words he/she has figured out: e.g. word drawn by opponent no. 1 is written in space no. 1 on the sheet, etc.
e) All the indicator and “difficulty” cards are then turned face up and the tokens are placed on the game board (see section 5).
g) Indicator cards which have already been used are set aside.
h) The second turn then starts...
• When a player picks an indicator card corresponding to a square on which there is already one token, he/she sets aside that card and picks another one.
b) When you have drawn a word that all your opponents have figured out, you can put a token on any square of the game board unoccupied before that turn.
c) When you have drawn a word nobody has been able to figure out, you must remove one of your tokens which is already on the game board.
b) French side: Draw the French words, write them in English (see back cover).
c) French side: Draw the French words, write them in French.
