GODZILLA

Character © 1963 Weston Merchandising Corp.

Godzilla - a Prehistoric Monster - a reactivated freak of nature, not used to being out of his environment of 1 Million BC, is running amuck. Blinded with rage he goes around destroying such things as oil fields, railroad yards and electrical works.
Bullets, shells, flamethrowers and other conventional weapons fail to stop him. Some one must get to the Rocket Launch Area and fire the Missile (with the radioactive warhead) as this is the only weapon that will stop him.

OBJECT

To get your Marker to the Rocket Launch area in order to fire the Missile at Godzilla's vital spots.

MATERIALS

Exciting Game Board
Colorful Spinner
4 Plastic Markers
1 Radioactive Missile (wooden disc)

PREPARATION

Carefully separate the Spinner from the Game Platform.
Each player selects a plastic Marker and places it at the "Start" position on the Game Board.
The Radioactive Missile (Wooden Disc) is placed on the "Arrow Head" of the Rocket in the Launch Area, ready for firing.

PLAYING THE GAME

Each player spins the Spinner. The one who spins the highest number on the "Inner Circle" goes first. The players take turns at spinning the Spinner. They move their Markers by as many spaces as the number indicated by the pointer on the "Inner Circle" of the Spinner. Players may select any of the three Paths on which to travel. During a move, if a player comes to an intersection, he may change his direction. The player can move in only one direction during any one move unless he crosses an intersection. More than one player can occupy the same space.

BLUE, RED AND YELLOW SPACES

Whenever a player lands on a space that has a color on it, he must spin again. If the pointer points to a matching color on the "Outer Circle" of the Spinner, the player must go to the area indicated - Oil Field, etc If the colors do not match, the player remains where he is and the next player takes his turn. If the pointer points to a White "Go Back" area on the "Outer Circle" of the Spinner, the player must move his Marker back the number of spaces indicated. If he again lands on a color Space after moving back, he must spin again and proceed as explained before.

ENTERING THE LAUNCH AREA

In order for a player to move his Marker into the Rocket Launch Area, the Spinner must indicate the exact number of spaces left to be moved. For example: If a player is 3 spaces away from the Rocket Launch, he must spin a 3. If he spins a higher number, he must remain where he is and wait for his next turn.

DISABLING GODZILLA

Once a player is in the Rocket Launch Area, he must attempt to disable Godzilla. He is allowed one shot everytime his turn comes up. He shoots the Missile (Wooden Disc) by placing it on the Arrow and flicking it towards any of the 3 "Bullseyes" in the Godzilla figure on the Game Board. If the paths between the Rocket Launch Area and the "Bullseyes" are blocked by an opponent's Marker, the player may skip his turn to avoid hitting the Marker. However, if he hits another Marker with his Missile, the shot does not count and he must go back to the Electric Works and wait for his next turn to move again. The opponent's Marker which was hit is then returned to the area from which it was hit.

WINNING THE GAME

If the Missile lands on any part of any "Bullseye", the player who shot the Missile has disabled Godzilla and wins the game.
The center crease of the Game Board is Godzilla's "Invisible Shield" and makes it more difficult for a player to aim and hit him in a vulnerable spot.
