DETECTIVE GAME

A fascinating detective game for 2, 3, or 4 players which requires CAREFUL PLANNING AND MEMORY.

HERE IS COLUMBO'S PROBLEM: In the house a crime has been committed and as a detectives each of the players must solve the mystery. There are T.V. stars, sports figures and prominent people, both male and female, at the house. Put the pieces together and determine the weapon or method by which the crime was committed and the motive for the crime. It's a big job and that is why Columbo has asked for all the help he can get. "Oh! And one other thing" says Columbo, "the one who can solve the mystery will be greatly rewarded from a special police fund made possible by public-minded citizens and is not a taxpayer's expense. So let's go all you DETECTIVES! Prove yourselves"!

THE OBJECT OF THE GAME: You are a detective. The object of your search is to collect the largest reward by uncovering the most EVIDENCE for solving the crime committed in the house. You move from room to room picking up EVIDENCE yourself, or obtaining it from other detectives. The spacious lawn around the house may also be a "gold mine" of clues, for, scattered on it can be found discarded EVIDENCE:...bits that tell the FIGURE and the WEAPON used. Then when you have pieced the whole thing together - the 4 parts that identify the FIGURE and the WEAPON, or the 6 parts of COLUMBO, plus the MOTIVE - you may collect your reward. The police files, plus artist's sketches of the six suspects and some of the weapons that probably were used are shown here. (complete - made up with cards)

The pack of cards also contains 6 "MOTIVE" cards, 1 "IT'S A MYSTERY TO ME" card and 7 "NO CLUE" cards. Before playing your first game, take a look at them.
